Award-winning cruise line Celebrity Cruises has released two specialty Australia and New Zealand cruises for wine lovers, departing February 2019.
On board the luxurious Celebrity Solstice, guests will journey to some of Australia and New Zealand’s most popular wine regions including Tauranga (Bay of Plenty wine region), Napier (Hawkes Bay wine region), Hobart (Southern Wine trail), Adelaide (Barossa) and more.
There are a range of onboard activities and shore excursions that offer guests educational and enjoyable experiences. Some of the onboard activities include Discovering Wine & Exploring the Senses; the Essentials of Food & Wine Pairing; Wine & Oysters; and Wine Pairing Dinner. Shore excursions take guests on picturesque countryside drives through Hawke’s Bay’s vineyards; to a Marlborough vineyard tour; to a Taste of the Barossa.
For wine aficionados, or those wanting to learn more about it, these cruises are not to be missed experiences.
“All of these places have their own little nuances when it comes to food and wine, which we’ll guide guests through on this journey,” says Marc Udy, esteemed New Zealand winemaker and host of the first Wine Lover Cruise. “For example, everyone knows Marlborough is world famous for its Sauvignon Blanc, but I’m sure a lot of people don’t know the region does a spectacular Pinot Noir. It’s this kind of insight, teamed with the variety of destinations and activities we offer, that make this the ultimate wine lovers cruise.”
The first Wine Lovers Cruise departs 12 February 2019 and the second departs 28 February.
