Wine Island will transform Queen Elizabeth II Island on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra into a wine lovers’ paradise for its two-day festival.
Dip your toes in the sand at the Greek Beach Club while enjoying some of the finest wines, beer and ouzo. Then, dance it off with DJ Charlie Villas who will set the paradise vibes to ten. Over the 2 and 3 December, Wine Island is hosting a range of boutique cellar door experiences from some of Australia’s best regions. Get a taste of the Hunter Valley, McLaren Vale, King Valley, Coonawarra and Alpine Valley all at this Canberra slice of paradise.
Brews, burgers and big vibes
Local wine producers will be in abundance at Wine Island 2022. Beyond wine there is also beer and fine spirits courtesy of BentSpoke Brewing Co., Big River Distilling Co. and a Canberra Wine Bar. Gourmet food will be dishes out from Olleyville by Create. Expect cheese and charcuterie platters, tasty tacos and sweet desserts. Grease Monkey will be grilling out the burgers, while Olive at Hawker has a menu serving up fresh Mediterranean fare.

Or, tap into your creative genius with a professionally-led paint class with Pinot & Picasso. ‘Cin’ in some gin with Canberra’s Big River Distilling Co. at their gin masterclass. Yoga + Unwined
Throw off your shoes and hit the sand for an express vinyasa-inspired flow and moment of mindfulness. You’ll walk away feeling you’ve earned that glass of wine or two.
