Want your very own private villa but your pockets aren’t quite deep enough? We’ve found a loophole in the system.
A British couple are raffling off their Tuscan Villa through ‘Win Houses in Italy’. The best part is that it’s in support of children’s charities.
For £25 (about AU$47), you will be entering a draw to win a fully-furnished four-bedroom four-bathroom villa in the Garfagnana region of the Tuscan countryside.

The winner of the draw can do absolutely whatever they like with the property. Turn it into an Airbnb, a vacation home or move in permanently.
All costs are covered as part of the prize. That includes transfer taxes, legal fees, a pair of flights to Italy, transportation and a two-night stay while the ownership transfer is signed.
Of course there’s a catch (isn’t there always). There must be at least 20,000 paid entries for the raffle to take place. This is the third property the couple have raffled so they don’t anticipate that will be a problem.

In the unlikely event that it does happen the prize will be cash winnings instead of the Italian villa.
Location location location
The villa itself is in one of Italy’s most hidden locations. The site describes it as “a peaceful location in the midst of the countryside with many pretty hilltop villages to visit as well as national parks, boasting rolling hills and mountains.”

Secluded but still accessible the villa is approximately an hour from Lucca and 20 minutes more to Pisa airport.
Florence and Cinque Terre are both about two hours drive away.
The competition ends on 22 January 2022. Terms and conditions here.
