Avatar fans will be flying into Orlando, Florida in droves, with the recently opened ‘Pandora – The World of Avatar’ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The new land, created in collaboration with Avatar’s filmmaker James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment, gives guests the chance to explore the mystical world of bioluminescent rainforests, floating mountains and soaring Banshees – the world of Pandora.
The land offers two main attractions, ‘Avatar Flight of Passage’ which takes guests flying above the jungles of Pandora on a Mountain Banshee, and ‘Na’vi River Journey’ is a family-friendly boat ride that sails down a sacred river hidden within a glowing rainforest.
Have lunch at Satu’li Canteen, the main dining location in Pandora, or stock up on that must-have merchandise at Windtraders. Disney’s imagineers have been very busy with touches of Pandora everywhere, and at night, when the bioluminescent flora and the incredible Tree of Life light up, visitors will be entranced.
