Virgin Australia revolutionises premium offerings

Virgin Australia has revealed a number of overhauls to its Business and Premium Class products, as well as the introduction of its all-new Economy Space +, improving the passenger experience with more choice and comfort on long-haul flights from Australia to Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi.

As part of its refitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, now flying across the Pacific, the airline has unveiled its new International Business Class cabin, offering superior comfort, more privacy and enabling direct aisle access thanks to its herringbone layout.

Fitted out with 37 individual and private suites that convert into the length of a queen size bed, with a customised triple-layer seat cushion, and a turndown service offering memory foam mattress toppers with premium quality cotton pillows and doonas.

There is a generous side console area for work and storage of personal items, while an extensive choice of in-flight entertainment can be enjoyed at the tip of your fingers on the 18-inch High Definition touch screen, the largest flying between Australia and North America.

Renowned Australian chef Luke Mangan has designed the menus, matched with quality wines and delivered in a tailored, fine dining experience through à la carte and Express Dining options, with a Cocktail and Canapé Service on offer prior to the first meal service.

The new Business Class Bar and Lounge will offer a selection of snacks and hot and cold beverages, as well as continental breakfast options prior to the full breakfast service.

The airline has also revamped its Premium Economy cabin with an exclusive and intimate cabin of 24 seats, offering more legroom than other Australian airline, at an increased seat pitch of 41 inches.

Premium Economy also offers in-seat power and a USB outlet for charging personal electronics, Business Class style plated meal services, an hourly cocktail and Movie Snack service, luxurious amenity packs, dedicated check-in with Priority Boarding and Priority Baggage, and much more.

Moreover, the airline’s new Economy Space + product will feature in a spacious new section of the Boeing 777 main cabin. Designed to make travel from Australia to the US and Middle East more comfortable, it will be available for flights commencing 30 August 2016 and will provide extra legroom, a dedicated Premium check-in counter and pre-boarding, preferred overhead locker, dedicated crew members, guaranteed first meal choice, and a premium noise-cancelling headset.

Virgin Australia flies daily from Sydney and Brisbane to Los Angeles, and will fly to Abu Dhabi three times per week when it recommences its services to the destination later this year.
