Viking Cruises’ new ship, Viking Ra, will set sail on the Nile in March 2018.
Guests on the 12-day ‘Pharaohs & Pyramids’ tour will visit seven ports, beginning with a three-night stay in Cairo at a five-star hotel and experiencing the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
Guests then fly to Luxor, to board Viking Ra for a seven-day roundtrip sailing on the Nile River to Aswan, visiting the Temple of Khnum in Esna, the Dendera Temple complex in Qena, and a colourful Nubian Village where guests can experience a traditional elementary school.
The all-suite Viking Ra features 24 suites accommodating 48 guests, a spa, two Jacuzzis and a pool, as well as regional and international cuisine, lectures on history and art and enriching entertainment.
