Within a short walk you can find

The heritage-listed Regal Theatre is home to live music, comedy and staging plays. Up Rokeby Road you’ll find a number of quality dining options from the restored Subiaco Hotel to the epitome of Italian cuisine, Lulu La Delizia, or Lady of Ro for Greek meze. Come Saturday, Subi Farmers Market at the local primary school is one of the oldest farmers markets in WA and worth a morning wander.

The showstopper

The jewel in the crown truly does sit at the top. Storehouse Subiaco is the rooftop restaurant perched on the ninth floor. Design tilts towards Scandinavian minimalism with a refined, modern interior and furnished coloured with touches of gold and marble. Floor to ceiling windows boast uninterrupted panoramic views of the Perth CBD and Kings Park.

The room

My Deluxe Suite King View was spacious with a separate lounge complete with a workspace, couch, and a 55-inch LDC. A discreet kitchenette comes with a mini-fridge, kettle and Nespresso pod machine. In the bedroom, a king-size bed sits with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows of those mesmerising skyline views. A marble bathroom is fitted with double basins, a separate bath and a large rain shower.

Amenity game

Original & Mineral is known for gracing the shelves of the world’s top salons. The Australian-born label features Australian active natural extracts and is free from harmful chemicals.

Beyond the rooms

Vibe Hotel Subiaco rooftop also houses a small gym and a 15-metre rooftop heated pool, which conveniently borders the Storehouse Subiaco, perfect for that post-feed cool off. On the ground floor St Marks Road Co. is part of the successful Sydney based café group ideal for brunch or coffee pick-me-up.

Staying in

Signature rooftop restaurant, Storehouse Subiaco is a must not just for the view. Serving up Modern Australian cuisine, a pairing of cocktails and a side of the Perth city skyline. If you’re down for a deal (and aren’t we all), you’ll want to get your hands on the happy hour $6 beers and house wines between 4-6pm. Free unlimited hi-speed WiFi is also available for up to four devices per room if you prefer to stay in and order the Storehouse menu to be delivered to your suite.

Dish to dine for

Storehouse Subiaco has a food philosophy of fresh, seasonal produce awarded with a one-hat rating by the Australian Good Food Guide. Standout dishes include the sundried tomato pesto and goats cheese pappardelle which was nothing short of divine! The ginger braised Harvey beef short rib was also a flavour winner. If you’re partial to a cheeky cocktail, take a chance on the pink gin number, Velvety Blossom, or the pineapple and guava infused Guayaba Fresca.
