The busy Qantas Club airport lounge at Hobart Airport is getting a revamp to provide much needed additional seating, a welcome move since the recent introduction of Qantas 78 extra flights into Hobart.
The upgrade will see the lounge’s business centre removed, making way for an open space with additional seating and a workstation, as well as a new buffet and sandwich press to enhance the club’s existing menu.
The lounge will close on 9 February and is expected to reopen four days later on 13 February, when it will be able to host 95 customers.
The upgrade comes just in time for QantasLink’s Hobart to Sydney and Melbourne service increase, which will see a total of 45 return services on offer from March 2016.
