Universal Orlando Resort is set to open its highly anticipated water theme park, Volcano Bay, in 2017.
Designed to look like a tropical, Pacific isle, complete with beach, waterfalls and a colossal volcano, the innovative adventure park will be Universal Orlando’s third theme park and will offer exhilarating thrills as well as relaxing and indulgent experiences for the whole family.
Located within Universal Orlando, and situated across 28 fully immersive acres, Volcano Bay will combine its unique experiences with hassle-free convenience, redefining the queue experience where guests won’t even need to carry their own rafts or tubes up the slides.
The park will feature 18 unique attractions, ranging from daring to serene, which will be divided across four primary areas, featuring a multi-directional wave pool with sandy beaches, peaceful winding river, twisting multi-rider raft rides, speeding body slides that drop from the top of the volcano into the waters below – and a state-of-the-art marquee attraction, still to be revealed.
Each area of the park will have its own easy-to-access, resort-like amenities such as concierge facilities and lockers, making it easy for guests to get to. Themed restaurants and bars will feature throughout the park and further unique features and attractions are expected to be announced in due time.
A new 3-Park Explorer ticket will soon be released through international websites and travel professionals, for guests planning to experience Volcano Bay for travel dates beginning 1 June, 2017, with additional ticket options announced at a later date.
