Turkish Airlines touches down in Melbourne

The inaugural Turkish Airlines flight arrived in Melbourne from Istanbul on 2 March.

Turkish Airlines has announced it will start its Australia to Istanbul services as its first inaugural flight landed at Melbourne Airport on Saturday, 2 March. It’s a new addition to the airline’s route network that represents a significant milestone with Melbourne becoming its 346th destination and Australia its 130th country.

The brand new flights will operate three times per week with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the airline’s winter operation and an A350-900 for summer. Economy fares from Melbourne start from $1,499, with business fares starting from $7,599 return.
