International travel is hard enough these days, but a viral TikTok user has simplified it.
A video posted by Laub Andrew explains how it is possible to walk to Russia all the way from the United States in just 20 minutes.
Plus the journey will give you time travelling abilities.

The video gives viewers a quick “geography lesson”. Off the coast of Alaska there is an island called Little Diomede Island. Off the coast of Russia there is an island called Big Diomede Island.
These islands are only 3.8 kilometres apart meaning they’re close enough to travel by foot. You might be asking how that’s possible given the islands are separated by water.
In the TikTok Laub explains how it is possible to travel from one country to another: “In winter when the water it freezes you can walk to Russia in only 20 minutes.”
Of course the travel time may vary depending on individual fitness level. I will allocate 35 minutes for my international stroll.
It is a pretty risky undertaking and we wouldn’t recommend it, but it is possible.
TikTok time travel
To make matters even crazier, the islands are in different time zones. Big Diomede Island is 21 hours ahead of Little Diomede Island. So by walking from the US to Russia you would be travelling forward in time.
Funnily enough, that’s how Big Diomede and Little Diomede got their respective nicknames, “Tomorrowland” and “Yesterdayland”.
The video has gone viral, racking up 4.2 million views and 1.2 million likes. The travel revelation has amazed fellow TikTok users.
“I’ve learnt more from this video than I ever did in sixth-grade geography class,” commented one user.
“Pack your stuff boys we’re going on an adventure,” said another.
