Stewart Elms identified the region as one of the warmest and most ideal sites for growing and producing premium wine. Since 2002 the vineyards have been managed organically and biodynamically and were awarded full Demeter certification in 2010. The winery is led by owner Nigel Greening and winemaker Blair Walter, whose extensive knowledge and great devotion to quality winemaking.
In 2022, Felton Road enjoyed a dual celebration, the 25th vintage of its Pinot Noir and 30 years since its first wines were planted. The winery is best known for its prestigious Central Otago Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling whites.
