The 2017 Seriously Shiraz festival invites guests to celebrate award-winning Shiraz at stunning venues across one of Australia’s most historical and acclaimed wine regions.
From 3 to 7 November, over this year’s Melbourne Cup weekend, the Grampians Wine Region will host more than 20 events over five days providing the perfect excuse, if you ever needed one, to hit the road for the ultimate city escape.
Less than a two-hour drive from Melbourne, festival goers are invited to indulge in live music performed by musicians from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, a grand degustation, a garden party with Croquet and Rose, flights over the vines and open-air music in the vineyards across various locations in the Grampians.
“The event is more than just another wine festival – it’s a great way to explore the stunning Grampians, discover hidden gems and have a fun-filled long weekend,” Grampians Tourism chief executive officer Marc Sleeman says.
“There is something for everyone to enjoy this Melbourne Cup weekend with masterclasses, unique tasting experiences, special dining events and live music.”
The wineries will showcase everything from award-winning labels to the latest vintages and will provide guests the opportunity to join an exclusive masterclass.
