Hobart’s newest luxury hotel is set to open in mid-2017.
Named after its prime harbour-front location at Macquarie Wharf No. 1, MACq 01 will enjoy a prime harbour-front location, with views over River Derwent and 114 generously sized rooms across several categories, including 20 luxury waterfront suites.
Large and luxurious, the hotel will feature a restaurant, bar, tastings, cocktail classes, gym, and spontaneous entertainment, while its central location will offer guests the ideal launching pad from which to explore sights and sounds of Hobart.
Combining premium accommodation with an eclectic mix of luxury and rustic elements to bring the emotion of Tasmania’s background and heritage to life, MACq 01 aims to capture a feeling that is quintessentially Tasmanian.
Inspired by the unique character and people of the region, each room is linked to an infamous Tasmanian character through a touch of storytelling, encouraging guests to forge an unforgettable connection with the people and stories of Tasmania.
While there is still a year ago before its opening, the hotel has launched its official microsite. More than just a holding page, it offers visitors an immersive look into the unique MACq 01 concept and experience, and a registration page for exclusive updates.
