Those who love the Northern Thai cuisine will be excited with the inaugural Taste of Thailand Food Festival making its debut at Café Mix at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney from April 20th to 29th this year.
Enjoy tasty authentic dishes including Kao Soi Beef Cheek, Steamed Seabass with Chili Lime Sauce, 72 Hour Braised Ribs, and Northern Curry Noodle Soup, a popular dish that originated in Chiang Mai.
“The taste of this region relies on a wealth of rich spices and fresh herbs which act as the foundation of the vast depth in flavour,” Shangri-La Hotel Sydney executive chef Hemant Dadlani says.
“Our guest chefs will showcase aromatic dishes for which Northern Thai culture is known.”
One guest chef is Pawitra In-Eya of Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand, who has flown in for the festival and is known for his colourful yet mellow flavours.
Head Chef Aum of the new Moon restaurant in Darlinghurst will also take part in the festival with his delicious dishes that blend European fine dining with traditional Thai cuisine.
Make sure you save room for dessert with delicious authentic Thai delicacies on offer, including Mango Sticky Rice and Water Chestnut with Coconut Milk.
A Taste of Thailand Food Festival runs from 20 – 29 April, with buffet dinners available from 6-9:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday buffet lunch available 12-2:30pm.
