Sydney Airport is gearing up to open its brand new premium food and dining precinct, The Marketplace, in T1 International later this year.
Showcasing the very best in gourmet Asian cuisine, Marketplace will be located in Pier B Departures beyond customs, and will feature a contemporary street food feel with enhanced casual seating enjoying city views, and a variety of fast and fresh Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisines.
In response to customer and airline demand for better value and choice, the current improvements at T1 will see the Marketplace offer a dynamic range of fashion, shopping, food and dining across the precinct, with enhanced ambience and direct sightlines to boarding gate lounges.
Speaking of the new development, Sydney Airport general manager retail, Glyn Williams, said: “We’re committed to delivering incredible food and dining options across a range of price points at Sydney Airport to complement our improvements program, and we’re excited to open the Marketplace in 2016 and further enhance the passenger experience.”
Sydney Airport is currently inviting responses to its request for proposal for up to seven new compelling food and beverage brands to launch the new Marketplace.
