Tours giving people the chance to swim with humpback whales are on now in Western Australia, which will run throughout the whale season, until October.
The humpback whale swimming tours in Exmouth and Coral Bay come following the success of similar tours with whale sharks at Ningaloo Marine Park.
In keeping with the Ningaloo’s encounter eco-tourism guidelines, a strict swimmer limit will be in place. All tours will focus on small group whale encounters with a maximum of five persons in the water with any one humpback whale, no swimmers allowed near mothers and calves, and any interactions completely on the whale’s terms.
