St. Regis Hotels and Resorts has arrived in Malaysia, opening the highly anticipated The St. Regis Langkawi.
Boasting a lush, secluded location, premium service offering, and beyond expectation experiences, The St. Regis Langkawi is set to redefine luxury hospitality on the island as the first all-suite resort in the archipelago with 4 private overwater villas and 85 suites. Each luxuriously-appointed suite is distinct in design, offering expansive, unobstructed sea views from spacious terraces.
Located just 30 minutes from Langkawi International Airport, the resort enjoys natural paradise surroundings, fringed by a white sand beach overlooking a swimmable lagoon which meets with the Andaman Sea.
The hotel’s interiors feature a classical, contemporary aesthetic, channeling elegant island living with the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, set off by a colour palette of soft blues and beiges. The resort’s mansion house encompasses European and Middle Eastern influences throughout the design, featuring Islamic arches, mashrabiya-inspired screening and large private courtyards which give way to a garden oasis populated with date palms and tropical flora.
Six restaurant and bar venues provide guests with an array of dining options, from the Asian-inspired haute cuisine of Kayuputi and the Middle Eastern and Asian flavours of L’Orangerie, to freshly homemade pastries and iced teas of The Gourmand Deli. Classic cocktails and canapés can be enjoyed with spectacular rainforest views at The St. Regis Bar, while wine connoisseurs can savour the perfect drop of rare vintages at The Decanter wine bar.
Meanwhile, the signature St. Regis spa, Iridium Spa, offers a range of specialty massages and wellness treatments in a tranquil setting, and features a salon, infinity swimming pool, a 100,000 square-meter natural salt water swimming lagoon and fitness club.
This latest development for the St. Regis brand follows the recent opening of St. Regis Dubai, with further grand openings this year taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; the Maldives; Changsha, China, and Cairo, Egypt.
