After several days of skiing, I was after less pleasure and more pain, so booked an Alpine Body Rescue to ease screaming muscles. After a quick change that Supergirl would be proud of and a few minutes of admiring the beautiful, large relaxation room, my masseuse appears and before long, I am on the soft massage table, tucked in nice and cosy. Her expert fingers, thumbs and elbows work their magic, undoing knots faster than Houdini, and my hour is up all too quickly.
I laze a bit longer in the relaxation lounge, sipping on herbal tea by the crackling fire and stare off into the distance over the magical snowy surrounds. A visit to indoor whirlpool is called for, and I plan to swim some laps in the stunning 25 metre indoor pool. But good plans are made to be broken, and the beautiful groomed corduroy slopes of Deer Valley beckon me outdoors again.
