Shangri-La has opened its second property in Harbin, China’s fabled city of ice, with the Songbei Shangri-La now welcoming guests.
Located on the shore of the Songhua River’s north bank in the heart of historic Songbei’s business district, the new property is a convenient five-minute drive from the internationally renowned ice festival at the Ice & Snow World. Other attractions in the surrounding neighbourhood include the Sun Island Garden, Siberian Tiger Park and Harbin Great Theatre.
The 344-room property features contemporary guest rooms and suites affording uninterrupted views of the city and river through floor-to-ceiling windows. There are also 33 executive serviced apartments for longer-term guests while the Lilac, Songbei and Shangri-La suites, located on the top floors, are ideal for families or business entertaining.
Dining options include signature restaurant Shang Kitchen, Café Song, speciality bar De Drunk’n Pig, and the Lobby Lounge.
