Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao opens in 'Paris of the East'

Sofitel has brought French luxury and fine dining to one of China’s most exciting cities, with the highly anticipated opening of Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao.

Located in the heart of Shanghai’s new Hongqiao hub, the Parisian-inspired luxury hotel is conveniently located to the National Exhibition & Convention Centre (NECC), and a five-minute drive to Hongqiao train station.

“Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao is a Parisian inspired inner city oasis, and as the city’s third Sofitel brand hotel, it strengthens our competitiveness in this cosmopolitan city that has long been known as ‘the Paris of the East’,” AccorHotels Greater China chief operating officer Michel Molliet says.

Featuring 354 opulent guest rooms and suites with the signature Sofitel MyBedTM, the hotel’s décor is adorned with warm hues and French style furnishings complemented by the latest technology.

Dining options include: Kwee Zeen featuring a range of international cuisine; Le Chinois, notable for its fine Cantonese fare; Takara, inspired by the first Japanese restaurant that opened in Paris in 1958, and the casual but chic Spanish tapas and wine bar, Ocho, and Le Bar.

Leisure facilities include a 25-metre indoor infinity pool with outdoor terrace, a spa and a So FIT gym, offering personal training classes.

Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao is the third Sofitel brand hotel in Shanghai and the 21st in Greater China.

As AccorHotels’ authentic luxury brand, Sofitel blends local culture and French art de vivre to create magnificent moments for those seeking a uniquely elegant experience through a mix of design, gastronomy and wellness.
