A rise in the number of Celebrity Cruise bookings has led to the anticipated launch of Celebrity Apex, which will be eagerly welcomed by cruise fans in early 2020. The spacious ship will be the second in Celebrity Cruises’s celebrated Edge Class Series and will bring the signature luxury and attention to detail of the celebrated cruise line back to the UK.
It will be the first time that Celebrity Cruises will operate two ships from Southampton with Celebrity Silhouette returning for her third consecutive year this year.
The ship will also feature 29 world-class eateries onboard including four main dining rooms and seven brand-new speciality restaurants.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises said: “Celebrity Apex will continue our tradition of reimagining what is expected from all aspects of a holiday at sea and elevate modern luxury cruising in ways never seen before.”
Edge Class ships offer boundless luxury with more suites on offer than any other Celebrity Cruises Ship.
The palatial Celebrity Apex will even feature two twin-level Edge Villas that boast outdoor plunge pools and a decadent 2500 sq. ft of space. About 80 metres of wraparound glass will also give guests pristine views from the lounge, bedroom and dining room.
Lutoff-Perlo says the new Edge-class ships are design and architectural feats that bring a closer connection to both the ocean and the destinations visited with a unique outward facing design.”
This fact is exhibited in the gravity-defying magical carpet feature that will make its return on board the Celebrity Apex. The unique feature allows guests to soar out over the ocean upon a floating platform to eat, drink and relax. The ever-popular Edge Stateroom with Infinite Balcony will also make a triumphant return.
Celebrity Apex is currently being built at the Chantier de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire and will make its much-anticipated debut early in 2020 with bookings available from 29 November this year. celebritycruises.co.uk
