Ski resort celebrates record winter season

Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia has celebrated a record winter season for 2015/16 thanks to exceptional snow conditions, exchange rates, return visitation and new terrain, including the addition of two new alpine zones, ranking it as the second-largest ski area in Canada.

Continually rated as one of the top ski experiences in North America, the award-winning resort boasts plenty of light, powdery snow that Interior British Columbia is famous for, and features three mountains; Tod Mountain, Sundance and Mt Morrisey. Guests can enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, while an intimate ski-in, ski-out village centre offers plenty of shops, restaurants, spas, and hotels.

Celebrating its last day of skiing for the season on Sunday 10 April, Sun Peaks is a four season resort which can be enjoyed all year round. A diverse range of leisure activities and experiences are on offer all throughout the year, including 18 holes of golf on British Columbia’s highest golf course, lift-accessed alpine hiking, mountain biking, as well as a jam-packed calendar of concerts, events and festivals, such as the 5K Foam Fest fun run on 18 June and the resort’s annual Summer Concert Series taking place 8 to 10 July.
