Having recently received one of the industry’s most highly esteemed accolades, the Grand Jury Award at SpaChina’s 9th Annual Award Ceremony in Chengdu, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain has cemented its position as Chengdu’s leading spa and wellness destination.
Located at the foot of UNESCO World Heritage-site Qing Cheng Mountain, the spa applies the principles of Taoism to its treatments to promote balance and harmony, together with Six Senses’ intuitive mix of science and human awareness.
Treatments are designed with ‘Reconnection’ as the overall goal and the spa’s holistic approach to wellness is further enhanced by its use of natural products, expertly trained therapists and visiting experts and practitioners, to offer a personalised service. There is an extensive menu of massages, facials, body treatments, wellness therapies and deeper rituals, such as ‘Shen’ – a three-hour journey for the ‘spirit’.
Shen starts with a private session of guided body movements, followed by a herbal bath and tui na, a hands-on therapy using Chinese Taoist and martial arts principles, before commencing a soothing facial performed with Jade stone.
