A reimagined art destination on the South Coast of NSW
Last year Bundanon celebrated the opening of a new Art Museum and Bridge for Creative Learning. Both buildings were designed by gold-medallist Kerstin Thompson and awarded the prestigious Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture and a National Award for Sustainable Architecture at the 2022 National Architecture Awards, and the Sulman Medal for Public Architecture at the 2022 NSW Architecture Awards.
For several weekends each year, guests can stay in the Bridge for multi-day curated experiences. These all-inclusive overnight packages include eco-friendly accommodation and onsite dining, inspiring exhibition tours, guided ecology walks, artmaking workshops, and riverside yoga sessions at sunrise.
Sustainability and seasonality
The architectural design of the Bridge is driven by an ethos of sustainability and connection with the surrounding environment. Each room is situated within the 160-metre-long structure, which draws inspiration from Australia’s rural trestle flood bridges and sensitively spans the natural gully below.
Seasonal dining experiences at Bundanon are crafted by Executive Chef Douglas Innes-Will. Each menu incorporates quality produce sourced from the surrounding Shoalhaven region. Innes-Will brings his local eye to each meal, sourcing sustainable produce for signature dishes that will heighten your senses and enhance your overall experience of Bundanon.

Immerse yourself in Bundanon’s exquisite landscape with this creative weekend package. Take part in creative workshops with artist Bonnie Porter Greene and create your own abstract landscape painting to take home. In the morning, join a yoga class overlooking the Shoalhaven River and finish the weekend with a tour of the latest exhibition in the Art Museum. This weekend includes all meals catered by Executive Chef Douglas Innes-Will, highlighting local fresh produce.
