The countdown is on for luxury cruise line Silversea as it eagerly awaits the arrival and christening of its highly anticipated new flagship Silver Muse, less than six months away.
Due for completion in April 2017, the luxurious new cruise liner’s 2017 itinerary will call at 34 countries and more than 120 ports, showcasing an incredible 52 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Cinque Terre in Liguria, the Historic Centre of Rome, the Archaeological Site of Olympia, and the Tower of Belém in Lisbon.
Visiting some of the world’s most fascinating locations, her inaugural season will launch from Monte Carlo, spending the warm European spring and summer months in and around the Mediterranean.
Visiting the likes of Spain, France, Greece, Turkey and Croatia to name just a few, the itinerary offers an incredible variety of architectural splendours, delicious food, beautiful beaches and rugged mountains.
Following her European sojourn, Silver Muse will set sail for her very first transatlantic crossing, with North American UNESCO highlights including the historic district of Old Québec in Canada and the iconic Statue of Liberty in New York City.
She will sail through the Panama Canal, the man-made wonder of the 20th century, in October 2017, taking in the lush mountains of the Cordillera Central, the beautiful beaches of the Pearl Islands in the Bahía de Panamá, and plenty more as she makes her way to South America to explore many more wonders.
Boasting European-style elegance, exceptionally personalised service, and uncompromised space and comfort, Silver Muse will be an intimate ship, set to redefine ocean cruising.
As the smallest ultra-luxury ship, she will feature spacious all-veranda suites, and like all Silversea ships, each room comes complete with its very own butler service. Ideal for families and groups travelling together, there will be more connecting suites available, as well as larger, higher-category suites. Complimentary WiFi, state-of-the-art technology and top-notch opulent furnishings, linens and amenities take luxury comfort to a whole new level.
Featuring an abundance of outdoor spaces, Silver Muse will have three open-air restaurants and lounge areas, and a luxuriously spacious pool deck. A total of eight restaurants offer an abundance of choice without compromising quality, while the spa, fitness centre, lounges, and theatre offer plenty of ways to relax, rejuvenate and be entertained.

In related news, following the launch of Silver Muse, her sister ship Silver Cloud will undergo an extensive transformation to refurbish her into an expedition vessel. Her luxurious new surroundings will include new soft furnishings, a complete redesign of all suites and public spaces, a new observation lounge, redesigned restaurant, spa and theatre, and a brand new fleet of 18 Zodiacs exploration crafts.
Set to emerge as one of the most spacious and exclusive ice vessels in the world in November 2017, her maiden voyage will include spectacular expedition cruises to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
