A special spa treatment onboard Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse is providing passengers with a locally-inspired way to relax as they sail the high seas.
The luxe treatment at the ship’s dedicated Zagara Spa, was designed to celebrate Silver Muse’s inaugural sailing to the region. The massage, named Jindilli (a Southern Queensland Indigenous term for macadamia), combines a relaxing full-body massage with the soothing properties found in eucalyptus and macadamia to evoke the essence of the Australian landscape.
“For the maiden call of our ultra-luxurious flagship in Australia, we have designed a truly indulgent massage with our OneSpaWorld partner, inspired by local produce and regional traditions.”, explained Rossi Derubeis, Silversea’s Vice President of On-board Revenue Management.
Silversea’s use of native Australian ingredients for the treatment is reflective of wider trends in the spa and beauty industry, which suggest a growing consumer preference for natural products, and those that are locally-made.
The lush Zagara Spa onboard Silver Muse offers nine treatment rooms, an acupuncture suite, men’s and women’s saunas, a dedicated outdoor whirlpool, and an adjacent gymnasium with generous windows providing a workout with a view. There’s also a beauty salon offering hairdressing, makeup and nail services.
The spa is one of the many impressive features of the brand’s newest flagship vessel which accommodates 596 guests.
Silver Muse arrived for the first time in Auckland in January, and is currently in the midst of her 74-day Grand Asia Pacific voyage from Sydney to Tokyo. She will return to Australian shores in November for a four-month stay to March 2020.
