Seven reasons to visit Sample Festival

Macadamia, Macadamia Plantation, Northern NSW macadamia, Sample Food Festival

Circle September 1 on your foodie calendar as this year’s Sample Food Festival at Bangalow Showgrounds promises to be bigger and better than ever. Here are seven reasons why you should visit this year’s festival on NSW’s northern Rivers.

September 1 Win $1000 in cash
Budding photographers and Instagrammers attending Sample will have the opportunity to win $1000. Australian Macadamias are hosting a photo competition to capture the best macadamia-inspired Instagram post from the festival. Australian macadamias will also host a free ‘Instameet’ from 10 to 11 am in the centre ring of the Bangalow Showgrounds. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to meet other Instagrammers and sample a range of other macadamia nut products.

Meet more than 100 local exhibitors
Sample has evolved into the largest gastronomic gathering on the Northern NSW calendar, attracting more than 16,000 locals, travellers, guest chefs and food lovers alike. The reason so many people travel far and wide to attend the festival is to sample the wares of farmers, producers and designers – all eager to chat about what they do, and offer a taste of the Northern Rivers region. This year, make a beeline for Byron Bay Chocolate Company, Rowie the Label and In The Pink Gelato.
