Visitors to London will not have to venture down to the south coast of England to get their seaside fix – this year it’s coming to you. York & Albany on Parkway is hosting a pop-up beach hut throughout the summer. So get out your flip flops, sunglasses and beach balls. The beach itself is made from real sand transported from Cornwall, while the candy-striped hut – decked out in the latest coastal fashions – will be serving day tripper cocktails and seaside favourites, such as mini fish and chips, Cumberland sausage rolls and pickled seafood in pots. For sweet tooths, there are banana split ice creams, candy floss and caramel popcorn. The beach hut is available for exclusive bookings for up to 12 guests. Costs start at £30 per person, which includes a selection of sweet and savoury snacks and two cocktails. A more extensive food menu is also available.
