Scenic, known for its award-winning river cruises, will be riding on the high seas with the news that the forward-thinking company is launching the Scenic Ocean Cruising Line. The first ship, the Scenic Eclipse, is set to sail on 31 August, 2018.
Scenic, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has raised the bar with its first Discovery Yacht, with Scenic Eclipse a six-star ultra-luxurious mega-yacht carrying 228 guests in 114 all-verandah suites. The ship will have the highest passenger ship ice class rating, which will alow luxurious cruises to the Arctic and Antarctic, and with two helicopters and a seven-seat submarine on board, guests will be able to explore like never before.
Scenic Eclipse’s maiden voyage will be from Istanbul to Venice, before sailing to the America, Antarctica, Europe, the Mediterranean and the Arctic and Norwegian fjords.
