Hot on the heels of winning a coveted Gold Award from Ecotourism Kenya, Sanctuary Retreats has continued to expand its philanthropic efforts by creating a series of new, self-sustaining projects and conservation initiatives at their luxury camps in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Botswana.
Guests can help relocate 20 endangered rhino into the Moremi Reserve in Botswana; add their weight to a wetland program on the Mara River in Kenya, or work at the Chipego Bike Shop run by local women in the Zambian village of Nakatindi.
Complementing the experiences are gorilla treks, watching the Great Migration of wildebeests, and seeing the world of elephants on an eco-safari.
