Royal Caribbean partners with PADI

Royal Caribbean International has teamed up with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), to offer passengers the opportunity to become certified scuba divers during their cruise.

Now featuring PADI Five Star Dive Centres onboard its ships, Royal Caribbean is the only cruise line in the world to feature a full range of PADI scuba diving education programs and dive centres.

A range of PADI courses now feature on 10 ships across Royal Caribbean’s international fleet, on a selection of Royal’s Quantum, Oasis, Freedom and Voyager class ships.

“Royal is renowned for one-of-a-kind onboard offerings and no other cruise line offers these unique onboard qualifications – our guests can return home with a newfound passion and skill-set, adding a whole new level of adventure to their holiday,” Royal Caribbean Australia and New Zealand managing director Adam Armstrong says.

As the largest, most trusted diver training organisation in the world, PADI boasts world-class educational programs, professional instructors, and top of the range diving equipment for hire.

Royal Caribbean guests will have access to a range of PADI programs for all levels, from the 30-minute Try Dive for beginners, right through to PADI’s Reactive Program for certified divers looking to refresh their skills, as well as PADI’s Open Water Diver course for complete scuba diving certification.

Experienced divers can hire their dive gear from onboard and plunge straight in to exploring hundreds of otherworldly destinations like Vanuatu’s famous Twin Bommies, a coral reef rich with marine life, and the Caribbean’s Belize Barrier Reef – the second largest barrier reef in the world.
