Perched beneath Ayana Resort and Spa Bali’s limestone cliffs above the Indian Ocean waves, Rock Bar Bali is consistently rated as Bali’s hottest spot, and amongst the world’s top bars.
This open-air cocktail and dining bar is a world-class destination in itself and the ultimate sundowner venue. With its unobstructed horizon views across the ocean, there is hardly a better place to enjoy an expertly crafted cocktail and a spectacular sunset.
Arguably the island’s most glamorous sunset and after-dark destination, Rock Bar exudes chic with an international ‘smart set’ and relaxed sophistication. As the sunset divides the day, the DJ ups the tempo, with smooth vibes rhythmically merging with the crashing waves below.
While its all about the ambience here, the extensive beverage and dining offering impresses. Signature cocktails are crafted using the highest-quality imported liquors, while an extensive collection of international wines, beers and spirits satisfy all tastes.
The new Rock Bar Seafood Dinner features a mouth-watering menu of fresh Mediterranean-inspired seafood dishes, including deep sea fish, shellfish, calamari, lobster and king prawns, hand selected by the chefs for premium quality. If seafood isn’t your thing, fret not for there are plenty of options, including vegetarian and lighter bites.
Attracting an internationally mixed crowd and resort guests alike, there’s no doubt Rock Bar Bali is an incredibly popular and busy place – here are some handy tips to get the most out of it:
– Unless you’re a group of 20 or more, reservations aren’t taken and sunset is the busiest time. So if you don’t want to miss the spectacular, which happens around 6pm, make sure you arrive early, around 4pm.
– Access to the bar is via an inclinator that descends along the cliff-face, offering incredible views on the way. The queue can be long, which is testament to its popularity, so again, arrive early. If you’re an AYANA in-house guest, you can enjoy priority access.
– Dress light as its gets hot and there are no sunshades, but respect the smart attire dress code, meaning no singlets, boardshorts or flip-flops, and no backpacks either due to security measures.
– Free Wifi so brag away!
