A sea change for Sydney chef Alex Munoz Labart has led to the opening of his new restaurant, Restaurant Labart, in Queensland’s Burleigh Heads this July. Alex brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his previous posts at Sydney’s Monopole, Cirrus Dining and Marque.
Restaurant Labart will focus on sustainability and simplicity whilst sourcing as locally as possible from fresh ingredients down to bespoke tableware by a local ceramicist. A menu split into snacks, small plates and large plates will utilise local and seasonal produce, whilst craft beers, unique local and international wines and seasonal cocktails will accompany the dishes.
Alex seeks to replace the formality of fine dining with a relaxed yet refined dining experience with warm service being of paramount importance. Boasting an open kitchen and charcoal grill the interior of the restaurant is inspired by urban and organic influences.
With the happiness of guests being the primary focus, a night at Restaurant Labart is likely to be a delightful dining experience.
