If you hate waiting in airport security lines and happen to be travelling through the United States or Europe this year, then you may want to check out this new free service, Reserve Powered By Clear. Powered by biometric identity verification service Clear, Reserve is a free program that allows all travellers to schedule a spot in a designated security line ahead of time. All you need to do is select a day and time for your security check, and you’ll be granted a 20-minute window in which to arrive. The service will supply you with a QR code that is then scanned upon arrival and affords you access to the front of the line for your allotted standard security check. It’s a service that’s particularly helpful for people who aren’t eligible for the TSA PreCheck.

Travellers simply need to visit the website, enter details such as flight information and the number of passengers in your party, and pick your security check window – no profile or registration is required! A confirmation email with a QR code will then be sent to you. Once at the airport, look for the Reserve Powered By Clear lane. Present the QR code, along with your identification documents, at the security check. However, this service is currently limited to specific airports across the two continents.
