Qantas’ new multi-million-dollar Domestic Business Lounge and Qantas Club have undergone a complete redesign. Part of the goal of the redesign was to increase the usable space for patrons. With the new redesign, 130 new seats were added which brings the two lounges to a total of almost 900 seats. The new lounges’ designs are courtesy of Woods Bagot and blends natural timbers and with turquoise greys as symbols of the Great Ocean Road and Melbourne’s sophisticated dining culture.
A new Asian Spice Bar serves both lounges with fresh, Asian-inspired dishes designed by Neil Perry. They have everything from noodle soups, to char sui pork to Sichuan eggplant. Both lounges also offer all-day barista coffee, a bar serving a selection of Australian beer and wine, Wi-Fi, printing and an increased number of charging ports for all devices.
