Never one to follow the pack, the daring and innovative QT Sydney has once again raised the bar with the launch of its brand new seasonal cocktail list.
Held at the hotel’s renowned Gilt Lounge to a mystical garden inspired theme, QT’s exciting new collaboration with Perrier Jouët saw tipped the champagne experience on its head with a series of delectable new cocktails featuring the premium brand champagne.
Expertly handcrafted by some of Sydney’s finest mixologists, the champagne inspired cocktails featured on the new Gilt Lounge menu are; Royal Collins, with Perrier Jouët, Haymen’s Old Tom Whiskey, classic Yuzu and fresh lemon; Champagne-Sider with Perrier Jouët NV, Encanto Pisco, fresh mint and lime; and Gilty Bellini with Perrier Jouët NV, Early Grey infusion and fresh peach.
In addition to the champagne inspired cocktail offerings, the new cocktail menu also features old favourites and traditional recipes, reinvented with QT’s signature quirky and creative spin, such as Ghost of Mary with pancetta and jalapeno infused Tito’s Vodka, house made tomato consommé, umami bitters, pancetta salt, pickled chili asparagus, and House Made Elderflower G&T with Wild Brumby Gin, elderflower quinine syrup, fresh lime, edible borage flowers, native lime and soda.
Sophisticated yet relaxed, the infamous 60-seat cocktail lounge on level two of the historic Gowings building is fitted out with bespoke furniture and digital art, delivering a vivid, retro-futuristic ambience, while music enhances, rather than overtakes, the space for a laidback vibe. Open until 2am Wednesday to Saturday, Gilt Lounge offers a refined and intimate setting ideal for groups, after-work drinks, special events and the ideal late night tipple.
In related news, QT is expanding its already impressive portfolio of boutique hotels and resorts, with a number of exciting new properties due to open in the next year, starting with QT Melbourne later this year. The highly anticipated QT Museum Wellington and QT Queenstown in New Zealand are due to open in September 2016 and early 2017, respectively, marking QT’s first international properties.
