Though it sounds too good to be true, Qantas is now letting you earn frequent flyer points for simply sleeping thanks to their Qantas Wellbeing app.
The app, which was designed by Qantas Health Insurance, encourages users to form healthy sleep habits by limiting screen time before bed. Members can earn Qantas points through the app’s latest initiative, ‘the Sleep Health Challenge’. The way it works is you set your bedtime routine through the app, place your phone down at least 30 minutes before bedtime and then don’t move your phone until you wake up in the morning. Et voila, you wake up with five Qantas points!
You can earn an additional 20 points by completing the Qantas Sleep Quiz; a 10 question quiz that helps you learn more about your sleep drive, the effects of diet and exercise on your sleep as well as how your body clock works.
The Sleep Health Challenge is one of a number of ways Frequent Flyers members can earn points through the Qantas Wellbeing app. It also rewards you for keeping active by walking, cycling or swimming, as well as learning more about BMI and blood pressure.
The app is proving to be a great initiative by Qantas. We all need a little encouragement to keep us on the right track with health from time to time, and what better encouragement is there than bonus frequent flyer points?
