Situated less than ten minutes from Sydney’s domestic and international airports, the Pullman Sydney Airport is Sydney’s newest five-star hotel.
Designed around the airport theme, even the corridors mimic miniature runways, the Pullman Sydney Airport features 229 luxurious rooms and suites, each with an open-plan, contemporary design.
It’s the little touches that make the Pullman a home away from home; such as the bowls of nuts served by the warm gas burners in the outdoor covered area or under the tungsten lit meeting area while enjoying a glass of wine from the intimate wine list after a long day.
Then there’s the kitchen. Dine in the restaurant or in your room on a range of excellent dishes from the imaginative team at Mobius.
Indeed, this was a fine choice for an overnight stay on the way home from a long-haul flight. Double-glazed windows and block-out curtains ensured a good night’s sleep, or if you prefer to watch the planes land – the airport operates between 6am and 11pm – you will be in your element.
The Hotel provides a shuttle service of $7 per person each way from the airport, but you need to ask about this before arrival. Internet out of the communal area comes at a cost. I was charged $10 for 24 hours to have internet access in my room.
For any early departure or late arrival, or just for a quick overnight stopover for a visit to the key Sydney sites of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the Pullman Sydney Airport is a luxurious property with great food and a warm welcome.
