Meander through the backwaters of Australia’s remote Kimberley region in 2019 aboard Ponant’s soon-to-be launched small luxury expedition ship, Le Lapérouse.
The 2019 inaugural season will include an expedition team headed by award-winning photographer and adventurer Mick Fogg, and a group of 12 experienced marine biologists, naturalists and conservationists including Harry Christensen, Sebastian Van Jones, and Sandrine Erwin-Rose.
In addition to visiting areas where saltwater crocodiles lurk, the voyages will coincide with the world’s largest migration of humpback whales off the Western Australian coast. Also included are must-see Kimberley highlights: Hunter River, King George Falls, Mitchell Falls, Montgomery Reef and Horizontal Falls, and Zodiac trips up river and under waterfalls.
The nine, 10-night expedition voyages will set sail from May to August 2019.
