P&O Pacific Partnership expands

The P&O Pacific Partnership has added two new community programs, after raising over one million dollars in voluntary contributions from passengers and also through special donations – in only four years.

The program has already funded kindergartens and health centres in Vanuatu, and the two new projects, in conjunction with Save the Children Australia, will assist young children and women in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Solomon Islands.

In PNG, the Newborn Baby and Birthing Kids Project will encourage mothers to have their babies in health centres, while in the Solomons, the new Solomons Early Childhood Development Project will ensure children grow up in protective environments that enable them to realise their full potential. All this with a voluntary $1 donation made through passengers’ onboard accounts.
