It may be because it’s completely bonkers, or because Aussie singer Cody Simpson featured it in his music video for Love – either way, this Pirates of the Caribbean AirBnb has everyone talking.
The home has been described as “an adult Disneyland” and the “best Airbnb ever”. It’s certainly out there.
The one-bedroom guest house sits in Topanga Canyon close to Fernwood in LA.
It’s a little on the rustic side. And it’s full of random items such as rowing oars and sea stars. But it fits two guests comfortably in a queen bed.
The home has a kitchenette with mini-fridge, stovetop and a coffee maker.
The Pirates of the Caribbean Airbnb will set you back $295.78 a night. Which, for LA accommodation is actually quite good.
The bathroom is interesting. We’re pretty sure the toilet seat is made with seashells and the door is made from bamboo.
You can wander around the spectacular tropical gardens pretending to film your own music video.
Wooden pathways meander beside creeks and ponds and the property even has a few waterfalls.
Darrell, the owner and superhost, has filled the outdoor spaces with lounges, hammocks and day beds.
Of course, you’ll also find plenty of rum barrels, lanterns and sea shells outside.
The home also has a firepit, an American Indian tent and a super quirky spa.
Yes, that is a dinosaur head. You’re not imagining it.
Just when you thought the Pirates of the Caribbean Airbnb couldn’t get any more insane – take a look at this…
When you sit down, you may get the feeling you are being watched.
What are guests saying?
The love it. Really love it.
“SERIOUSLY, so amazing. its even more beautiful in person,” one guest wrote about the property.
Said another: “THE BEST AIRBNB EVER! I loved it so much that I booked my next stay while I was still there. And the whimsical lights around the property at night are just magical.”
And another: “I loved waking up feeling like I’d traveled to Neverland. My husband and I are big kids and this property was a playground. So much to see and explore as well as some much-needed relaxation.”
No one tell him that’s the wrong pirate.
