PER AQUUM Hotels & Resorts is bringing the Russian ballet straight from St Petersburg’s Theatre Square to the shores of the Maldives in a first for the island nation.
PER AQUUM Niyama and PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi will host exclusive, one-of-a-kind performances by world-renowned first soloist Xander Parish, accompanied by his personally selected ensemble of ballet dancers from Russia’s famous Mariinsky Ballet Company.
Performing at PER AQUUM Niyama on 21 August, followed by an en core at PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi on 23 August, Parish and his hand-picked ensemble, including Oksana Bondareva and Renata Shakirova, will perform much loved classics such as Swan Lake, Scheherazade, Giselle, Carmen, and Don Quixote.
The exclusive two-night ballet performances are part of PER AQUUM’s stream of avant-garde experiences, PULSE, and will take place on overwater stages set against a tropical beach backdrop at each of the two luxury island resorts.
Moreover, guests will be given the special opportunity to join Parish and his dancers in a unique and immersive masterclass experience at each resort.
Just a 35-minute speedboat ride away from the international airport near Male, PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi is surrounded by one of the best house reefs in the Maldives and boasts the world’s first and only underwater spa.
