Location
Pan Pacific Orchard is the district’s brand-new architectural jewel in the serene Claymore enclave on the prestigious shopping belt. Designed by award-winning WOHA Architects, the distinctive skyscraper boasts four seamlessly connected stacks – Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud – each offering a unique natural environment driven by sustainability and stylish design.
Within a short walk, you can find
Orchard Road and its world-class shopping and dining. The nearby shopping malls to Pan Pacific Orchard include Ion Orchard, Paragon Shopping Centre, Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Isetan Scotts and Wisma Atria.
Claim to fame
The design of the Pan Pacific Orchard is a new prototype for high-rise tropical hospitality. The 23-storey, 347-room building is a distinctive “garden hotel” with five hotel room levels offering a slightly varying interior style.

The showstopper
The four Sky Terraces – Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud – are lushly landscaped with each terrace self-shading the atrium from the hot tropical sun. The terraces are open-sided to allow for natural cross-ventilation and daylight with dry mist fans positioned strategically to reduce the need for air-conditioning and artificial lighting. Level five rooms – Beach Terrace – are showstoppers too as you have direct access to one of three pools from your sliding doors.
The room
The exquisite residential-style guest rooms and suites offer a tranquil sanctuary with breathtaking views of the flourishing terrace landscapes or the pulsating Orchard cityscape. Many – including my Deluxe Balcony King – boast a private balcony with a sofa, ottoman and coffee table and incredible views for a unique indoor-outdoor experience. The open planned bedroom-bathroom has a boutique hotel feel. A pillow menu, 400-thread count cotton linen, and Nespresso coffee maker add to the in-room amenties. A Swisspro water filtration eliminates the need for single-use plastic bottles.

Beyond the rooms
Pan Pacific Orchard boasts both indoor and outdoor gyms, a soon-to-open St. Gregory Spa and multiple swimming pools. Dining options include Mosella, the hotel’s signature restaurant within the Forest Terrace, serving Mediterranean cuisine with a Peruvian flair. Florette is a classy bar specialising in Champagne and oysters, offering a glamorous atmosphere to indulge in some of the finest seafood and bubbles alongside well-crafted cocktails. While all-day drinks and afternoon tea at Pacific Breeze boasts intimate seating perched above the Lobby.
Spa life
Yet to launch, keep an eye out for the St. Gregory Spa, which is opening soon.
Dish to dine for
Mosella focuses on Mediterranean cuisine with a Peruvian twist. Executive Chef Pedro Samper has honed his kitchen skills in Michelin-starred kitchens across Hong Kong, Japan and Spain over two decades. The San Sebastian native was most recently Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Dubai in Jumeirah Beach. On the menu at Mosella are starters like fresh scallops or red tuna ceviches to premium meat and seafood cuts cooked over a charcoal fire. My favourite: Grilled lobster with burnt yaki butter and a side of zucchini flowers stuffed with Manchego cheese drizzled in truffle honey, that more than satisfies.

Staying in
Beyond the dining, there are the various swimming pools and terraces to explore. The Forest Terrace (on the second storey) offers a natural sanctuary with an immersive three-dimensional forest with tropical trees, a waterfall, woven canopies and screens. The Beach Terrace (on the fifth storey) is designed as an urban beach with meandering water edges, an organically shaped lagoon pool, sandcastle walls and palm groves. There are indoor and outdoor state-of-the-art gyms, a 22-metre lap, and kids pools, too.
Stepping out
Singapore has so much to offer and all is within easy reach. From the Singapore Botanic Gardens, famed for its tropical landscape that has become a world-class attraction. The National Museum of Singapore is the city’s oldest and an architectural icon with permanent exhibitions, the Singapore Gallery and Life in Singapore: The Past 100 Years galleries. Not forgetting all the shopping on Orchard Road, plus, the hotel is well-connected for exploring the vibrant neighbourhoods of Little India and Chinatown.
The family factor
Two-bedroom interconnecting suites are perfect for keeping families and larger groups together while offering privacy with easy access to the multiple pools. The hotels central location is ideal for exploring Singapore with kids in tow.
