Royal Caribbean’s brand spanking new mega cruiser, Ovation of the Seas, will be making a show-stopping splash when she reaches Aussie shores in December this year with a stellar line-up of entertainment.
Set to become Australia’s newest, biggest and most technologically advanced cruise ship, Ovation of the Seas will showcase a combination of talent, cutting edge technology and special effects through a series of stage shows, productions and events.
The multi-level, tech-advanced entertainment venue, Two70, will give audiences immersive experiences all around the room, with the integration of Vistarama – a visual showcase featuring expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that can be set into any scene. In addition, the highly acclaimed Spectra’s Cabaret will feature Roboscreens, live performers, music and special effects, blending live performance and experiential cinema with contemporary pop music.
The impressive 1,300-seat Royal Theatre will showcase two new productions. The Dream tells the story of one man’s journey to rediscover his passion for life in a play featuring beautiful storytelling, strong performances, and spectacular production values, while Live. Love. Legs. ups the ante in a high-energy performance of aerial acrobatics, choreography, extravagant costumes and vocal performance straight from the Broadway stage.
Off the stage, Ovation’s entertainment offerings are just as impressive, with an extensive line-up of fully produced late-night events and parties, including all-night dancing and themed parties at the popular live music venue Music Hall.
Meanwhile, Ovation’s younger cruisers will also get a slice of the action with events and activities featuring popular DreamWorks Animation’s characters in a series of character breakfasts, meet-and-greets, photo ops and film screenings.
In addition to the announced entertainment offerings on-board, Ovation will provide guests with a multitude of experiences including skydiving and surfing experiences, the SeaPlex activity space which boasts basketball, roller-skating, bumper cars, and the North Star – an observation capsule rising more than 92 meters in the air to incredible panoramic views.
