The building was a coffee warehouse in the heart of New Orleans’ bustling port district just steps from the French Quarter in the mid-1800s and its history has not been forgotten in its new incarnation – a beautiful boutique hotel.
The light, airy design showcases the building’s authentic warehouse architecture, lets artwork from the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts and, in keeping with the chandlery spirit of the building’s historic past, provisions modern day travellers with local crafts and artisanal New Orleans products for purchase in the Chandlery.
The hotel is also home to Tout La, a lobby coffee and pastry shop, and Compere Lapin, the first restaurant from Chef Nina Compton which has earned rave reviews.
