The Northern Territory Government is launching the ‘NT Summer Sale’ but only for fully vaccinated visitors.
With the Christmas holidays around the corner and NSW and Victoria transitioning out of lockdowns the NT Summer Sale comes just in time for Aussies keen to travel again.
Travellers visiting the NT between 1 October 2021 and 31 March 2022 can expect a discount of up to $1000 on flights, accommodation, tours, attractions, and vehicle hire.

Tourism NT will be the first Australian tourism body to offer a vaccine incentive.
Savings will be based on a set discount of $200 for every $1000 spent on a Northern Territory booking. You can save a maximum of $1000 on a spend of $5000.
To book Australians can head to NT Summer Sale here. But you should check the fine print first…
Who can actually go to the NT?
To score a discount you have to be fully vaccinated and from a non-hotspot.
At the moment that rules out NSW, ACT and most parts of Victoria. However the sale does run until the end of March 2022. That means there’s plenty of time to be taken off the red list. For an up to date list of hotspots as determined by Territory officals head here.
If you’re travelling with kids the rules do make your life a little easier. Anyone under 18 does not need to have proof of vaccination.

With borders and rules constantly changing we recommend keeping an eye on NT Government’s covid site for current information.
The other catch is that you’ll need to book through one of Tourism NT’s campaign partners to get the discount. They include Holidays of Australia, Helloworld Travel & Viva Holidays and NT Now.

Tourism NT Executive Director of Marketing Tony Quarmby said the NT is the best place to be this summer.
“Summer is an exciting place in the Northern Territory, and we know there are many people around the country that haven’t had the chance to book a holiday, to experience something new, or go somewhere different.”
“With over $2.3 million in savings made during last year’s NT Summer Sale, this is the perfect opportunity to book the trip you’ve been waiting for.”
