How to claim your $50 ‘Stay and Rediscover’ voucher

NSW residents will receive a $50 Stay and Rediscover voucher to spend on accommodation anywhere in the state.

Premier Dominic Perrottet announced the new voucher scheme this morning. It is part of a $500 million tourism recovery package that will help more than 300,000 workers get back on their feet.

“NSW isn’t just going to bounce back from this pandemic, we’re going to fly back,” the Premier said.

The Stay and Rediscover vouchers will work in a similar way to the recent NSW Dine and Discover vouchers. Here is how to claim yours.

NSW residents over 18 can claim the Stay and Rediscover voucher and use it on accomodation.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible to apply for the voucher, you must be:

  • aged 18 years or over
  • a NSW resident

What can I use the Stay and Rediscover voucher for?

You can only use the Stay and Rediscover vouchers for accommodation including hotels, caravan parks and camping grounds. Any other services or additional costs must be paid directly to the provider.

Vouchers will only be valid with participating accomodation providers. You will be able to search for participating accommodation providers using the Hotel Finder when the NSW Government launches the scheme.

If you do not spend the full amount of the voucher the remaining balance is given up.

You can use the voucher seven days a week including public holidays. You must redeem them on or before their expiry date.

When can I start using my voucher?

Mr Perrottet said a “pilot” scheme would begin this year, and that it kick off state-wide in March, as tourism businesses head into “shoulder season”.

How do I get my Stay and Rediscover voucher?

It is likely that eligible residents will claim their Stay and Rediscover vouchers through the Service NSW website and app. This is in the same way residents were able to claim their Dine and Discover vouchers.
