Shoalhaven and Mudgee are the two rural NSW towns to appear in Tripadvisor’s top 10 emerging global destinations.
The NSW rural towns beat out all the Australian capital cities to appear alongside exclusive holiday destinations such as Panama City Beach and Martinique.
Shoalhaven came in at number eight on the list and country town Mudgee sits at number 10.
They might not be the first places that come to mind when planning a globe-trotting expedition, but these under-the-radar NSW towns are proving to be a popular choice for those who want to ditch the crowds, enjoy the stunning scenery and explore something unique.
If you enjoy surfing, dazzling sunsets and exploring caves and sea cliffs, Shoalhaven is the NSW town for your next getaway.
Mudgee is for the history buffs and food and wine lovers. Sift through Mudgee’s extensive selection of Gold-Rush era artifacts. Or you can appreciate local and regional produce at any of Mudgee’s food and wine festivals.
