Luxury resort, Elements of Byron, has officially opened in Byron Bay as the town’s first world-class beachfront resort, making it the 11th property to join AccorHotels’ boutique MGallery Collection in Australia and New Zealand.
The 50 acre resort is located on Belongi Beach, sprawling across two kilometres of beach front, and currently offering 94 villas with a further 96 to be built in Stage 2 of the $100 million dollar development.
Speaking of the opening, Simon McGrath, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels Pacific, said: “AccorHotels congratulates the owners and hotel team on opening this exceptional world-class resort and we welcome this latest addition to our boutique MGallery Collection and franchise hotel network which is set to delight guests with its unsurpassed beachfront locale whilst showcasing the very best of the Byron Bay region.”
Bringing a touch of luxury to the seaside, Elements of Byron boasts a luxurious infinity lagoon pool area with a sunken fire pit, poolside bar, gym, five-suite garden spa, state of the art conference facilities catering up to 450 delegates, with a signature restaurant and private Beach Club set to open mid-year.
Soft, relaxing and organic materials and colour palettes reflect the four on-site landscape ecologies of rainforest, dunal, eucalypt and wetland, while commissioned artworks by renowned local Byron artist Noel Hart feature these ecologies across a series of paintings and blown glass ornaments.
Leon Pink, General Manager of Elements of Byron said: “Being privately owned by a couple who are passionate about the site, let alone the resort crafted within it, helps a lot, nothing was compromised and I’ve never really experienced another similar situation.”
